About TSPMAX

What is TSPMAX?
TSPMAX is a system developed for generating buy/sell signals for use with the various Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) funds. For each TSP fund, the fundamental TSPMAX algorithm has been optimized toward greatest return and profit/risk ratio. This algorithm is applied to several Asset Allocation Strategies so that a wide variety of risk-tolerance is addressed.

History
When the TSP moved to daily valuations on May 31, 2003, US Government employees finally obtained a measure of retirement-fund manageability that, while still not on par with the private sector, was substantially improved over what they had before. TSPMAX was invented by a US Government engineer with the sole purpose of maximizing his participation in the TSP. The inventor remains employed by the US Government and continues to use the system he developed.

Why TSPMAX?
TSPMAX offers the following advantages:

1. The TSPMAX system dynamically adapts to changing market trends by automatically setting buy/sell thresholds relative to trend velocity, taking into account market "noise", taking profits at optimal trend points and testing for re-entry opportunities.

2. The TSPMAX system includes a variety of factors in its signal-generating engine, including the "Interfund Transfer Rules & Restrictions" in effect.

3. TSPMAX offers a variety of Asset Allocation strategies to accomodate virtually any level of risk-tolerance.

4. TSPMAX Buy/Sell signals are completely emotion free. No "Gut Feelings" or speculation on the short- or long-term future of the market is ever used.

5. Algorithm parameters are optimized for current market conditions. Result is that TSPMAX is IN a fund at optimal times and OUT when the fund is not performing. See TSPMAX participation in the F Fund, below, as an example
